Why We Journal

January 13, 2005 By Glenn Turner

When The New Gamer was initially conceived, I wanted a site that I'd feel comfortable writing something daily for, a site that would accept off-the-cuff musings as well as more 'proper' pieces. Sadly, I failed and The New Gamer morphed into a much more formal site than originally planned. So it goes.

However, for about the last four months or so I had been tinkering around with the idea of creating a subsite for less formal writings: unfinished ideas, initial thoughts while playing a game, or even contemplation about articles on other sites. Finally, after about a month's worth of nagging IM-spams from Mr. LeFeuvre I put the plan into action, taking only a few naps along the way.

Well, the end result of my literally hours* of work is now available for public consumption. Also, you can see that it's already been abused by the staff. Hooray!

So sit back, relax and enjoy the following bleating and rambling.

* I mean of course, hours and days.
