I didn't find anything all too surprising about Nintendo's press announcement today, at least not until I went and saw their announced game list. Dance Factory is in the line-up!
Yes, Dance Factory, the tepidly-received custom-soundtrack dance game (that, incidentally, I'm receiving from Gamefly this week) is coming to the Wii. I have absolutely no idea how that will work - will they just ditch the Wiimote for a standard dance pad, or will they incorporate the Wiimote into the move list? Will you have to use the Nunchuk in the opposing hand, and shake-shake-shake Samba-style?
Speaking of which, Sega had better bring back Samba. There's no better platform for the little guy!

although Samba de Amigo is a good fit for the Wiichuck, I still salivate at the prospect of a new Punch-Out game.
Actually, if we stay with the Bemani idea, how different would a translation of ParaPara Paradise need to be to use the wiichuck setup? it's got a spacial sensor, so I imagine it's just a matter of assigning the contact areas in some setup command...

While it's not Punch-Out, WiiSports does come with a boxing game. That'll be something to see.
Huh, there's an idea. Well, I certainly hope Konami takes advantage of the Wii!

I think this will be the next console I buy. This looks like infinitely more fun than anything I've played in a long time.
