Formed in 2003, The New Gamer was established to provide a different critical perspective on videogames. We scrutinize the whole game, what it has to say, how the separate elements effect the player, and what each game brings to the burgeoning field of interactive entertainment. Shadow of the Colossus was one of those games where, while playing it, you keep saying "This can't be it right? Please don't let it be over." It was made even worse by the fact that you KNEW you had 16 of those guys to kill. Every one you ended was just another coffin in the demise of your awesome game experience.
I need to play that game again. And again. And again.
